Limited Permission to Practice
Attorney Licensed in Other Jurisdictions

An attorney admitted to practice in a jurisdiction of the United States, other than Delaware, who has graduated from an ABA accredited law school and is employed by or associated with certain Delaware nonprofit or governmental agencies identified in Supreme Court Rule 55(a) may, in the discretion of the Board, be permitted to practice in the courts and administrative tribunals of this State in matters involving such office or the clients of such program.


Application Steps and Required Documents
Attorney Licensed in Other Jurisdictions

To be permitted to practice in Delaware under Supreme Court Rule 55, or Board Rule 42, an applicant must:

Complete the Application to sit for the Delaware Bar Examination, including supplying all required documents (except in the case of an attorney practicing without compensation).

Complete the NCBE Character and Fitness Application (except in the case of an attorney practicing without compensation).
