The Justice of the Peace Court has implemented a new policy regarding e-filing. Policy Directive 08-232 sets forth the criteria establishing who is required to e-file. The Order amending Rule 79.1, allows the Justice of the Peace Court to implement e-filing procedures. If you fall under the requirements for e-filing set forth in the policy directive, you must first attend a free e-filing training class, offered every month in each County by the Judicial Information Center (JIC). Click here to view the Court’s training sessions and register for a class.
When e-filing, electronic payment methods will require that you either use a credit card or a Court Account Application.
Minimum technical requirements do apply and can be found at http://courtsefile.delaware.gov/ecf/manual/fiGetStarted.htm. A complete users manual is available at this website: http://courts.delaware.gov/efiling (click on the link "Delaware eFiling Manual" in the middle of the page).
