Hours of Operation

The Courthouse is open weekdays from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm. The Courthouse is handicapped accessible. If you have special needs, please call 302-735-1909.


Public Policies

Portable Electronic Devices Pilot Program Policy
Cellular telephones and other personal electronic devices are allowed in court facilities, with restrictions, under a court pilot program.


Dress Code
Appropriate attire is expected for any appearance in Court and should be consistent with the seriousness and dignity of the judicial process. This maintains decorum and shows respect for our laws and Courts.

Food and Beverage
The public is prohibited from bringing any beverage in an "open" container and/or "unsealed" plastic bottle containing consumable beverages. The public may bring food and beverages in non-glassed enclosed containers into the courthouse for consumption in the cafeteria only. No food or beverages may be consumed in any public area within the courthouse other than the cafeteria.


Weapons
Weapons are not permitted in the Courthouse. This includes pocketknives, scissors, chains on a wallet, nail files, glass containers, etc.

Take I-95 SOUTH
Take exit 98 for DE-8 toward DOWNTOWN DOVER/LITTLE CREEK
Turn RIGHT onto DE-8/NORTH LITTLE CREEK ROAD
Turn LEFT onto US-13 SOUTH
Turn RIGHT onto EAST LOOCKERMAN STREET
Continue onto LOOCKERMAN PLAZA
Turn LEFT onto FEDERAL STREET.
Kent County Courthouse will be on your RIGHT.


Directions to the Courthouse from the South
Take DE-1 NORTH
Take exit 95 for DE-10 toward DOVER/CAMDEN
Continue onto SOUTH BAY ROAD
Merge onto US-13 NORTH
Turn LEFT onto EAST LOOCKERMAN STREET
Continue onto LOOCKERMAN PLAZA
Turn LEFT onto FEDERAL STREET.
Kent County Courthouse will be on your RIGHT.
