NOTICE REGARDING NEW CLE WEBSITE
As you know, the new CLE website and online system went live on July 22, 2008. We are working to bring all attendance and program data up to date and anticipate completing that by August 31, 2008. In addition, we are revising how transcript information is presented in order to create greater clarity.
Your patience, as always, is greatly appreciated. If you have additional questions, suggestions, or concerns, please contact the Commission’s Executive Director, Margot R. Millar, at margot.millar@state.de.us. Thank you.
The online databases were last updated on December 6, 2007.
Since providers are allowed 45 days to submit attendance records to
the Commission, these records should include all coursework through November 1, 2007. Attorneys who have not yet reported
completion of the 2007 requirements will still see the original data
as printed on the 2007 Transcript.
| NOTE: |
The online transcripts will not be updated until returned 2007 transcripts have been processed and returned. Furthermore, the Commission is in the process of transitioning to a new, user-friendly online system which will enable us to provide "real-time" information regarding transcripts and available programs. We expect this new system to be in place by the end of August, 2008 - possibly sooner. Please bear with us - your patience is appreciated. In the meantime if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Margot Millar at (302) 577-7040 or margot.millar@state.de.us. |
If the attorney has submitted a password to the Commission to track
CLE credits online, the Transcript login screen can be accessed at
https://decle.forest.net/.
If the attorney has not submitted a password, the attorney must do
so following the instructions below, or by completing
the appropriate portions of the Transcript form and returning it to
the Commission. To log in, the attorney will have to enter the attorney's
Supreme Court identification number and the password as provided by
the Commission. The password is not case sensitive.
If an attorney has difficulty accessing the database, please refer
to our Troubleshooting page.
If an attorney has difficulty understanding the information shown
on the online database screen, please refer to our Transcript explanation
page.
Form 12, to update the online Transcript, may be accessed as a link from the Transcript screen.
Regardless of any changes the attorney has made using the Form 12,
the attorney will still be required to sign and return the printed
Transcript form to the Commission which will be enclosed with the
annual registration statement when required by CLE Rules. Attorneys
with a compliance deadline of December 31, 2007 will be required to
verify the information printed and return the form to the Commission
by February 1, 2008. Attorneys with a compliance deadline of December
31, 2008 will be required to verify the information printed and return
the form to the Commission by February 1, 2009. Late fees apply if
the printed Transcript form is not signed and returned to the Commission
by the response deadline.
Please contact the Commission with further questions regarding the
Transcript or CLE Rules.
To enroll in the online CLE Database:
Attorneys who have not enrolled with the Commission to participate
in this feature and who would like to preview the feature before enrolling
may access a sample record in the database by entering ID number "9999"
and password "sample".
Attorneys who would like to enroll in this free service may still
contact the Commission with password information. There are two ways
for an attorney to enroll:
send a written request on firm letterhead* (by US mail or hand delivery)
indicating that you desire to register and include:
a) your Delaware Supreme Court identification number
b) the PIN or password that you wish to use
c) original signature of the attorney requesting registration (no
computer-generated signatures, rubber stamps or facsimile transmissions).
You will not receive a reply unless your registration is incomplete;
simply check the site on the next date of upload (usually the following
Wednesday).
*letterhead should match the address on record with the Supreme Court
in order to identify the attorney requesting access. If the address
does not match the address of record, the Commission will inform the
attorney that the password will not be registered until the Supreme
Court's address of record is the same as that on the letterhead received.
OR
send an e-mail message from the e-mail address on record with the
Supreme Court (if supplied during your most recent Annual Registration
statement) and include in the body of the request:
a) your Delaware Supreme Court identification number
b) the PIN or password that you wish to use
Use of e-mail to make your request obviates the need for an original
signature as your e-mail address of record constitutes your authorization
for registration.
If you register by e-mail, you will receive a reply by e-mail
confirming your registration. If you enroll through a written request,
you will NOT receive a reply; simply check the website on the next
scheduled upload date to log in.
The password selected can be any combination of numerical and alphabetical
characters, and is not case sensitive. This information will remain
confidential and will not be released to any party. Should the attorney forget the password
supplied to the Commission, the attorney may follow the same procedure
to select a new password or contact the Commission. Although most information will be added
immediately upon receipt, please allow up to two weeks for an attorney
record to be added to the online database. The login page will show
the next date on which the database will be uploaded to the website.
If an attorney does not follow these procedures to request access
to CLE records online, the attorney's credit information will not
be included in the secure database. The attorney will still receive
annual statements with the Annual Registration materials, but the
Commission will continue to be unable to provide written or oral credit
updates to attorneys.
To participate, please send the information required above to the
Commission on Continuing Legal Education at 820 North French Street,
11th Floor, Wilmington, Delaware, 19801-3545. Questions or e-mail
can be directed to (302) 577-7040 or
cle@state.de.us.
