Apply for Internship

To apply for a Court of Chancery internship, please refer to the Intern Timeline page for information about available positions.

Please note, the Court of Chancery internship program is only open to current law school students.

Applications must include:

  1. Intern Application*
    Applications for the Fall 2025 semester are no longer being accepted.
    *Please note, Court of Chancery internships are only open to current law school students.
  2. Cover Letter (one for each judge to whom you are applying for an internship)
  3. Resume (must accompany the application)
  4. Transcript
  5. Writing Sample (optional)
  6. Letters of Recommendation (optional)

Please send individual PDFs of the set of materials listed above as attachments to the following e-mail address: Chancery_Internship@delaware.gov.

Please use the following naming convention: [Intern Starting Semester].[Last Name].[First Name].[Document Name]. For example: 2024SpringSemester.Doe.Jane.Resume.pdf

Applicants are encouraged to apply early and should supplement their applications with additional grades and other material information that become available after their initial submissions via the above e-mail. Updated documents should use the following naming convention: [Intern Starting Semester].[Last Name].[First Name].UPDATED.[Document Name]. For example: 2024SpringSemester.Doe.Jane.UPDATED.Transcript.pdf
