About the Fund

Protecting Delaware's Children Fund

The Protecting Delaware's Children Fund was established by the Child Protection Accountability Commission (CPAC), to garner revenue to support ongoing child abuse prevention and awareness activities within the state.

Here's how your donation will help...

  •  Professionals who work with our children will be better prepared to protect our children by learning how to recognize and report child abuse and neglect.
  •  Citizens statewide will learn the proper actions to take when they are concerned about a child's safety.

3 Ways to Contribute:

  1. Stop Child Abuse License Plate

All proceeds from the purchase of the special "Stop Child Abuse" license plate will be deposited into the Protecting Delaware's Children Fund and will be used exclusively for statewide public awareness campaigns and child abuse prevention.

The license plate has an initial fee of $50.00. There is an annual renewal fee of $40.00. (Disclaimer: fee does not include vehicle registration renewal fee.) The license plate may be purchased online or at any DMV location.

  2. Personal Income Tax Contributions

Charitable contributions of any amount may be designated to the Protecting Delaware's Children Fund on the individual income tax return. For information about making charitable contributions via your individual income tax return, please visit the Delaware Division of Revenue website.
