Renovations are scheduled at Justice of the Peace Court 11 at 2 Penns Way in New Castle for the weekend of April 27-28. Therefore, Court 11 will be relocated to Court 9 (757 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE, 19709) on Saturday, April 27th beginning at 0800 until Monday, April 29th at 0800. Court 9’s phone number is #302-378-5221. Normal business hours will resume at Court 11 at 0800 on Monday, April 29, 2024.

The Justice of the Peace Court is working off a backlog of landlord/tenant cases created by the public health emergencies and the various moratoriums on evictions.
